Talon’s deadly abilities are spiraling out of control. Desperate to keep Finn safe, Talon struggles to protect the man he loves with all his heart, and not become the greatest risk to Finn’s life.

Finn has no choice but to offer himself as bait for the evil forces kidnapping enhanced children, facing danger he is untrained and unprepared for, and he is having to do it alone.

Does Talon have one last fight in him? Will he slay everyone who wants to destroy Finn and the team, or will he finally discover that to defeat their enemy and the ultimate threat, the biggest battle he has to face is one with himself?

The boys are back, and I’ve loved every second with them.
6 weeks after the end of book 1, Finn and Talon are together as work partners and as boyfriends.
That’s the problem, being partners during the day and lover in the night, Talon’s overprotectiveness makes Finn doubt himself and their future together.
Talon doesn’t understand how Finn could want to be with him, how he could love him…how anyone could love him period.
They must find a way to be together at work and at home. Meanwhile, they have to do their job. Finn is sent undercover to infiltrate a foster home where enhanced kids are missing.

Did Talon deal with it properly? Hell no.
Did Finn try to impress Talon and the team by doing stupid things? Hell yes.

I loved this book…I know I already say it, but I just want to repeat it.
Talon and Finn try to find their mark together, and it isn’t simple, their own insecurities make things difficult. I love how they are together, how Talon is a completely different man in private with his man.
We also learn a little more about the guys, especially Eli and Gael, about their past. I’ve cried… (Yep I’m such a sweetheart).

You know sometimes, you read book 1 of a new series and find it amazing, so you’re excited and buy book 2, and you’re a little disappointed, but you still have hope so you buy book 3 and you realized that book 1 was just the lucky book?
Not here, Book 1 was amazing, and This book is the book of the confirmation.
Confirmation of Finn’s place in the team and in Talon’s heart. The confirmation of the team, their legitimacy as a special FBI Unit.
It’s also the confirmation for us readers, that this series will be amazing and that we’ll love all of them more and more.

5 OptimuMM’s for my guys

***The ARC was provided by Dreamspinner Press. My review is an honest opinion of the book***
