BLURB:

He only knows one way of life, and that’s hand to mouth, but when a soldier offers him something better, it’s difficult to trust something so freely given.

Uri Etters is very good at getting himself into trouble. Good thing for him he knows how to handle most criminals. He finds himself in need of a rescue when some territorial crow shifters think he’s an enemy spy. Virion might have swooped in and saved the day, but it’s been Uri’s experience that nothing comes free, not even from a respected Rogue soldier. Uri discovers love comes easier than trust.

Virion is wolf shifter and the enforcer of team five in the rogue army. His team is the one, among others, that is sent around the country to intervene when paranormal are at war between each other.
When he tries to diffuse a situation between 2 clans, he wasn’t expecting to meet his mate.
This book made me laugh and smile.

Uri is a real drama queen, and Virion can be a big badass wolf. Uri isn’t scared of him and still keeps driving him crazy. He’s also proud and strong, so Uri wants to be equal with Virion, and he refuses to depend on him for everything. I love that about him. He is funny too, he made me laugh out loud.
Virion is a big badass wolf, he is strong, and his team is his family. I was already in love with him in book 1 (Human Instinct) and book 2 (Resistance). He can be tough and authoritarian, but he also has a kind heart and a beautiful soul. I really love him and most of all, how tiny Uri keeps him on his toes with his sassy mouth and attitude.

Like for the others books in the series, everything is fast, but it’s fine with me. I didn’t want to read a long book with lots of details and all, (no, I’m not sick, and yes, it’s still me),
I was in the mood for a good short story, something like this book. It was like an aperitif before dinner, and it was exactly what I needed.

3 OptimuMM for the Enforcer and his sassy half-demon

***The ARC was provided by eXtasy Books. My review is an honest opinion of the book***
