They say time heals all wounds. He has waited sixty years for that to happen. Going on a work trip to Denver rips open that old wound, but maybe that old hotel full of memories is just what he needs to finally be able to move forward.

I just love this series, honestly one of the best MM series I ever read, probably because I like everything occult or magical or beyond.

This short story can be read as a standalone, but for all those who read the series, I recommend it wholeheartedly.

The story is about the memories of Aaron and his lover Xander, back in time when they still had to hide their feelings.

He visits Denver after sixty years, but he still harbors feelings for Xander less painfully nowadays. But the memory of Xander still warms his heart.
The story goes back and forth between today and the past, it’s a very sweet and teary read. We learn about Aaron a lot, but as we are used to by now from Meraki, the story ends with a twist I really didn’t see it coming.

After I finished reading, I chatted up Meraki “strongly suggesting” stuff I would like to read in the next book of the series. He, as usual, laughed at me telling me that the book is already finished…the tease!!!
