In a small town about an hour’s drive outside Dublin, there’s a whiskey distillery.
Jim has worked in the distillery as its business manager since he returned to his home town after getting his degree. Whiskey is a slow business and rural life is quiet, but Jim takes it in his stride. That is, until the handsome and mysterious Mr Aiden Rooney moves into a room above the local pub and sets off a flurry of gossip.
Aiden’s an artist, and his devil-may-care attitude is a revelation to Jim. But he still lives in a small town in rural Ireland, and he’s not even sure if he wants to be out and proud. The choices they make could change everything, if only Jim dares to follow his heart.

James O’Shaughnessy lived at Kilglass, (a small Irish village) all his life. He’s 27 years, the middle son of a family of 7 children, gay and in the closet. He works at the local distillery, has his own home, but he’s alone.

Aiden is 22 years old, he’s an artist and comes to Kilglass during his trip around UK. Until he meets James, and the two of them start seeing each other.
It was an adorable novella. Full of sweetness, calm and peace.

Really, it was a pleasant and peaceful read.

James and Aiden are good together, we follow them during their adorable journey. How James came out to his family, how Aiden settle down at Kilglass for his man.
I like this novella, no drama, no angst. Some doubts and uncertainties, but they were quickly swept away.
I recommend this short story with a good tea and a piece of cake (chocolate of course). Perfect for having a sweet tooth and read.

It’s 4 OptimuMM for me.

***I would like to thank the author for the privilege and opportunity of reading this ARC. My review is an honest opinion of the book ***
