When picking at the details of the grand scheme of it all, nobody holds the entire truth.
Jeff has it all—a good job, a beautiful little boy, and a wife with a secret. But that’s okay, because he has a secret of his own. Hopefully, by the time she trusts him enough to tell him hers, she’ll forgive him his.
Kaleb is finally settling with the many changes in his life, and he has spent his time ironing out the details and workload that come with the new pack, the promise to help the Order, and getting to know the reborn Connor. Despite not finishing high school, Kaleb gets a great job as the assistant to both Alex and Pritchard at Browman and Son Auction—a job where his abilities as a half-breed are of vital importance to humanity. There are a few things he never expected to find at the auction house, though. One being a Captain, the other the knowledge that the Angels made a mistake.

When it comes to Chronicles of an Earned, I’m a sucker.

Since my very young childhood, I have been attracted to the unknown, to magic. Then later, as I grew, I learned about both white and black magic. I was never a participant, but I had my fair share of minor experiences. I can guarantee you there is more to this world than we see.

Reading this series, Meraki pulls us into the occult. Part is imagination, part is true. What part is true? Well if you open your eyes, you could feel it…hahaha…joking aside, I know for a fact that the author of the series has put more than 8 years of research to amaze you with this story.

In this installment, we have a new character, Jeff. Without spoiling things for you, the reader, if you followed the story, you will be surprised.

Kaleb – Kaleb finds himself as an assistant to Alex and Pritchard’s auction company. He needs to deal with juggling between Earned duties, assistant duties, and some other duties too…

Alex—He feels happy, safe, loved and protected. Since the curse was lifted, he can finally see Pritchard as his Dad and Mr. Henry’s loving and caring side.

Dominic—He’s the leader of the Pack of Punishment. He’s learning his way around other ex-Revenge who have difficulties interacting with humans. (I really would have liked to read about this new pack, I’m a real Dominic and Alex fan. Let’s call them #DominEx or #Alenic from now on, shall we? Hmmm…I will decide later…)

Jeff – He’s a new character. He fell in love with Susan. Both him and her have secrets. But we know secrets can’t remain secrets forever. So when the truth comes out, Jeff needs to leave his family behind, and that gives him the opportunity to meet Kaleb. I want to tell you more, and trust me I’m itching for it, but I will not.

***The ARC was provided by eXtasy Books. My review is an honest opinion of the book ***
